The Royal County School of Music is fully committed to ensuring the safety and welfare of all children in our care. We believe that every child has the right to be protected from harm, abuse, or neglect, and we are dedicated to providing a secure and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

Our organization recognizes the importance of upholding the highest standards of child protection. We are committed to:

1. **Preventing Harm**: Taking proactive measures to prevent harm to children within our programs and activities.

2. **Identifying Concerns**: Being vigilant in identifying and responding to any concerns, suspicions, or disclosures of child abuse or neglect.

3. **Staff Training**: Providing comprehensive training to our staff and volunteers to ensure they are knowledgeable about child protection issues and can act appropriately.
All staff are Garda Vetted.

4. **Codes of Conduct**: Establishing and enforcing clear codes of conduct that guide the behaviour of all individuals associated with our organization when interacting with children.

5. **Reporting Procedures**: Implementing robust reporting procedures for any suspected or confirmed cases of child abuse or neglect, ensuring that such cases are promptly and appropriately addressed.

6. **Confidentiality**: Maintaining strict confidentiality in all child protection matters, while also recognizing the importance of information-sharing when necessary for the child's welfare.

7. **Supporting Victims**: Offering support, guidance, and appropriate resources to children who may have experienced abuse or neglect.

8. **Compliance**: Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in child protection.

9. **Regular Review**: Regularly reviewing and updating our child protection policies and procedures to reflect changing circumstances and requirements.

10. **Transparency**: Communicating our child protection commitment to parents, guardians, and the wider community, and providing access to our child protection policies upon request.
